Molly Kain

Molly Kain is a highly experienced Integral Coach who has coached senior executives and senior management, start up businesses and personal coaching in many organisations across a diverse range of business sectors. She runs her own Coaching Practice and is also a faculty member – The Center for Coaching – at the Graduate School of Business, University of Cape Town. She is accredited as a Professional Certified Coach with the International Coach Federation, having completed over 2500 hours of client coaching, approximately 400 mentor coaching hours, and more than 400 hours of coach training.

Previous Background

Molly has been a Professional Coach since 2011. Molly has extensive experience in Retail Management, having spent over 30 years creating, managing, and delivering displays and in-store merchandise presentations. As a display artist and manager, working for a number of large South African Corporates over a 15 year period, she worked closely with her fellow managers to create and deliver customer value. She fully understands the urgency that defines retail operations and she is no stranger to the relentless pressure placed on staff and management to constantly perform at a higher standard every day.

Having realized her corporate retail management goals, she set up her own display business and for a further period of 15 years, she and her team of staff crafted displays and in-store presentation services, to a number of Corporate Retail clients. This work ultimately led Molly into coaching, as she had developed a range of people management skills over the years, that assisted her to work with others to develop their unrealized potential. Coaching provided her with the opportunity to enhance and further practice these skills, to the benefit of all her coaching clients.

Coaching Training

Molly has completed the following educational courses:

  • Coaching to Excellence (CTE), through the UCT GSB Centre for Coaching
  • Associate Coaching Course (ACC), through the UCT GSB Centre for Coaching
  • Professional Coaching Course (PCC), through the UCT GSB Centre for Coaching
  • 10 Coaching Mastery Modules, to deepen her coaching competence, through the UCT GSB Centre for Coaching
  • Neuroscience in Coaching through the UGSM-Monarch Business School Switzerland, Institute for Cellular and Molecular Medicine and the Departments of Physiology and Psychology, University of Pretoria.
  • International Medical Coaching Training, leading to certification as a Professional Medical Coach.
  • Certified iEQ9 Enneagram practitioner.

In addition to her coaching studies, Molly has completed a Certificate in Retail Management through UNISA and a Certificate in South African Labour Law run through the University of Cape Town.

“A match made in Heaven” is how I would describe my relationship with Molly as my mentor. She somehow knew how to challenge me in each session to think and take action towards becoming a better coach. I am grateful for her graceful comments and words of encouragement.”

Muriel Nxumalo

“I have been lucky to have Molly as a Mentor during my PCC  journey she had a profound and lasting impact on me. Seeing something in me that I didn’t realize was there and sharing what she envisioned for me, broadening my own self-concept. Believing in me before I believed in myself.  Providing me with a mirror, giving me honest feedback, correcting me when I was off track, and encouraging me to do and be better. Encouraging me along the way by patting me on the back and sometimes dusting me off, too, always reminding me that she was in my corner. I am so grateful for the real and trusting relationship  she could build  with me.”

Delia Piemonte

Molly was clear and kind, generous with her time and energy and nurtured my sense of curiosity instead of fear. My journey was a complete gift and I will be forever grateful that Molly was a key person that enabled me to eventually surrender to internal trust and courage.”

Revd Jane Day

Lecturer

Regent’s Park College, Oxford

“I discovered one of my noble truths with Molly – she spotted it as I was saying it. I wouldn’t have seen it in that light myself, but now I feel able to own it as a strength. I am now on the lookout for more truths about my essence – she showed me how to be curious about myself, including my shadow / inner critic and through this process, I have uncovered many strengths. Molly also showed me the distinction between boundaries and building up big brick walls! I have had a lot of learning and built a lot of skills in an effective and appropriate boundary setting as a result of the coaching with Molly.

Thank you Molly for your constant support. I especially appreciated how available and flexible you were when you knew that I was having a hard time. You didn’t let me give up on the coaching, but more importantly, you didn’t let me give up on myself. Lots of love and I’ll always be your fan.”

It is difficult to express myself in only two sentences because you really helped me a lot. But if I have to I would say that I immediately feel safe and could very easily build a trusting partnership between you and me. Your intention and motive to assist me on my journey was very clear for me to see but also feel, although we coached on-line. Your listening skills and the ability to observe what you heard me saying but also what I was not saying was really exceptional. I short, it was a great experience and I could not have asked for a better Mentor Coach.”
